AC Fuse

Searched for this and couldnt find anything...

I blow the 30w fuse whenever running the AC.. I can get it to run for 10 mins if I run it as low as possible, but it'll eventually die when idled. If I crank it, itll blow instantly. Any ideas? Have replaced it a bunch...

Its also dripping on the passenger well.

Seriously, you're using your air already! it's not even 110 out yet! Is it factory or after market AC? I suppose you'd have to take it apart for the ground in any event...

No dissassembly required for checking the ground. It's a seperate wire on the harness that installer grounds to frame. Mine is grounded on the fuse bus. Also check the main harness connector (big and brown).

Don't listen to Bill. He doesn't use A/C. He's preparing for life in the apocalypse after the EMP attack when the A/C ECU gets shorted out (but he does't like TDI's...go figure).

Of course, he believes in having two of everything, so don't underestimate him. He probably has a spare D90 in a faraday cage in his bunker.

Dude: 30w is less than three amps. Think that's your problem.
