AC Fan Speed Knob Missing...Argh!

In addition to breaking off the lever on my air vent...the tech that was working on my rig also lost the fan speed knob on the AC. Any ideas where I can find one of these? I have a feeling this is going to be almost impossible to replace...argh. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again,
Brian

Try George first, if he can't get it try:
Land Rover West Chester
1568 West Chester Pike
West Chester, PA 19382
1-800-41-ROVER
610-840-8700 ext 3

Ask for:
Mike McCollum
Parts Department

I've never spoken to him personally; however, I've heard he is very good and can get it if it's out there.

David,

Great recommendation! I tried George at RDS and he doesn't have the part. However, Mike McCollum is literally scouring the globe for it as I am typing this. Mike also knew the names of the companies who LRNA outscourced these parts to. It will be interesting to see what turns up, either way he's one of the best resources out there for Defender parts.

Thanks again,
Brian

Hello Brian,

So I'm in the same boat as you are. When I got my 95 SW, it was missing one of the AC knobs too. if you locate a source for these, let me know. If they're even a little different, get two of them, and we can swap whichever way you want, so we have matching knobs.

I had pretty much written it off...
in mine, the temperature knob is missing, and the fan speed knob is there.

Arbi-

I think he's got one for ya. Mike is having them sent to me. I requested an extra temp knob to send your way...will let you know when I receive it.

Cheers,
Brian

Funny...I thought the same thing, but he looked and couldn't even locate a part number for it within their system...
