absolutely dead this morning...

what would cause a complete elec failure? i.e, turn key and nuthin'...

Dead battery, would be the first thing I would check. Also, check the battery connections, corrosion on the terminals and the connections on the starter.

Then check the fuses and relays.

Yep, sounds like a dead battery or battery related issue.

absolutely nothing? did you see any dash lights come on? see if the battery is dead.

Check the terminals on the battery - had an 88" stop dead many years ago, The AA turned out, wire brushed the battery posts, put the terminals back on and away I went. Check there first. Cheaper than a new battery.
