A Snorkel For Us NA Diesel Guys

Anybody ever install one of these:
http://www.rebel4x4.co.uk/raised_air.htm

Normally Aspirated Raised Air Intake

Extra long hose 119.00
Complete with extra long hose and adaptor to fit vehicles with air intakes next to the radiator. Made from mild steel. They are sand blasted, zinc phosphated and fully dipped in black nylon to guarantee no internal corrosion.

I'm not finding very many options out there and I am trying to avoid cutting a hole in my new fender.

I have seen some that fit into the top fender blanked off intake. On a LHD the left fender is the intake for the heater, but the right side is a blank plate.

The LHD ExMOD trucks are blank on the left (where the air filter canister is) and the heater it on the right.

Here's one option for a LHD 2.5 NAD

Used the cut the hole in fender route though

That looks like it could be adapted to go thru the vent blank pretty easy. Is the tube sticking out of the flat piece the way it comes or did you ad that?
Any idea what the brand/model is?

Not sure on brand. Thought it was a rebel. I'll have to check when I see it again in a few days.

I think the 200 Tdi has the vent on the LH side fender. The fender actually has the cut out for the vent. All of the NAS were minus the side fender vents.

This one?

That looks like it would probably work on a LHD with 2.5NA

Take a look a the the snorkle for a gas engine. It has the fender plate so you can go the blanking plate on the fender

You just order the RHD or LHD depending on your needs.

No surgery required.

I used a 3.5 gas RHD snorkle for my 300Tdi

That would work and it's the look I'm going for but it's $500.

That's why I don't have one yet. I've seen some of the ex-mod parts places have water proofing kits that come with that snorkel and extended breathers and maybe some other stuff too, but they are also high dollar.

Screw it! Give me a month or so and I'll have a reasonable priced snorkel kit available. Time for a new business, I'm board!

The Mantec site does say in the FAQ section you can use 2 of their intakes on the NA Diesel. Dunno how much it goes for though
