A-Frame Protection Bar VPLPP0060, Where to buy and Install ?s

Looks like Miami British has it for 950, anyone else selling it for less?

Also, will it bolt right on to a 1995 NAS D90 SW?

Thanks in advance.

Hasn't Shawn had one for sale for over 6 months? Search the For Sale Parts section.

Will it fit an '85?

Are the upper supports plastic like on the LR3 (very similar unit)?

Love the looks of this, makes the Defender look much newer. But I'm concerned 1) that it won't fit and 2) that it's sturdy.

Unless 1985 was a special year I don't see how it's so much different than all other years. If you google image search it you'll probably see that there are little tabs that screw into the rad cowl (or whatever you'd call it) to support the top. I personally don't like the way they mount, but if you like it go for it.

Every ad I see shows '07+. I had a similar unit on my '08 LR3- it came with pathetic little plastic dibbles to support the top- which I swapped out for metal ones from the UK- but even with them, it was pretty flimsy.

I'm tempted to stick with the powder coated steel A-bar I have. it doessn't look as cool, but it's pretty stout!

What is the verdict on this piece? I like the look and would like to add it to my 84 Ninety. Is it sturdy and does it hold up? Concerned about sturdiness and mounting. Any thoughts?

Not this one. She says "it gets on the way!" ;-)

Or the later, who said that "if you want to pop my hood, I find A-bars uncomfortable ;-)

Edit:

I don't think it's compatible with the MOD bumper. Well bollocks.
