A/C tensioner rebuilt kit

Does anyone know if the bearing kit from Rovers North (614154) will work on the A/C tensioner on my early model #176 d90 ST? Is is possiable to have a machine shop replace the bearings? Do I have any other options than buying a completely new tensioner ($277)? Any help or advice would be great as the weather is nice and I want my truck put back together ASAP!

Thanks
Keith

Take the pulley out, press the bearing out, go to a parts shop, have them find a bearing that works for you, go and get it pressed somewhere!

The kit you refer to will work on most of the tensioner bearings used on V-belt drives in Rovers up to 1995. The exception is the very early D90 A/C kits that had an oddball A/C tensioner that used a 19mm adjustment bolt instead of the 13mm clamp bolt. If you have the oddball one, I believe that you may be ablt to have a new bearing installed.
