a/c issue

My 90 has started blowing fuses that run the a/c compressor. I have changed two out this past week. When working properly, the a/c is really cold then starts blowing air that is not cooled. I check the fuse and it's blown.

Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Hmm I would check the relay for the compressor clutch maybe. Also check to see if the clutch is cycling on and off.

Thanks Mike. I will give that a look.
I know I should not do it but for the past two days I went from a 15 to a 20 amp fuse only because I was out of 20s and coudn't make it to the auto parts store. And it's really hot driving this daily around town. I haven't blown a fuse since doing this.

sorry... out of 15s.

Mine did the same thing when the fan went bad. The same circut powers the fan and the compressor. Of course it went out in Moab in August.
