A/C + heater problems

Here are a few of the symtoms I'm currently encountering (LHD disco 200tdi conversion)

HEAT - pretty much none. Only blows slightly warmish air when up to full operating temperature which could easily be from the hot air in the engine bay.

FAN - blows very weak on speeds 1,2,3, then full blast on 4).

AIR DISTRIBUTION LEVER - doesn't do anything, air only blows out of top vents at the windshield no matter what position it's in.

AC - not cold, or even cool. Fans in front of the radiator do come on when I push the AC button.

VACUUM HOSES - One of the red vacuum hoses to the top of the AC/Heater box is dangling. Can't find any diagram that shows what it's supposed to connect to.

Is this 5 different problems or do these symptoms sound like something with a common cause?

Thanks for any help on any of these issues....

Mark

Do you have the big box that has box AC and heat with the AC vents in the dash where the vent levers would be on another truck?

If so, I suspect you have several problems.

LHD factory A/C vacuum hose routing

Does anyone have a diagram of the vacuum hose routing for the 1987 LHD A/C unit? Or a picture of where the red hoses attach?

Thanks.

Pretty sure the red hose goes on 14. Everything in the system is operated by vacuum bellows.

It's connected at the AC/heater box, the other end is not connected to anything. I'm wondering if this could be one of the hoses that are supposed to be connected to #4 in the attached diagram? I'll try to take a look and see if all the connections look good on the back of the heater controls....

Seriously, there are lines everywhere. My Guess would that it goes to the scoop thing under the fender (there is a flap operated by a bellows to cut off incoming air), but I don't recall where all the colors go.

You can also take the grey vent holding thing off easy enough and then get access to where all the lines connect. I would suspect some of the bellows stopped working as well.
