A/C aftermarket kit fitted, anyone has any idea on this?

Hi there. The Defender 110 i bought has an a/c kit installed after it was produced so it is an aftermarket kit and i believe was fitted in Italy. Has anyone any idea of the brand/seller/producer? I am trying to find installation manual so i can check wires for a fault i have with it.

Probably a Diavia unit. They were dealer supplied kits at one time

I've seen one not unlike this that was also not the Land Rover version -- it was a GM kit.

What year is the truck? I have a diavia in my 94. The controls in mine are located in a little pod above the cigar lighter.

This is 98 year. The controls are located as you can see in the additional facia of the a/c

I have installed a bunch of the kits from Elite who made the factory kit for the 95 up trucks. I have their instruction booklet but doubt that would be of much use to you. A/C is very simple, the thermostat has a probe that goes into the fins of the interior unit. That switches the compressor and front condensor fans on and off. The other switch simply controls the interior fan speed. There are usually two or three relays, some combine the condensor fan and compressor function into one relay. The kits are typically very simple with two heavy gauge switched power wires feeding these relays.
What is the problem you are having ?

Thank you Uncle Douglas for your repply.
Actually i am having two problems.

1. i can see and hear the thermostat (right side) works but the guys i bought the car from have wired the compresor directly from the on/off fan speed switch (left side) so compressor is on all the time.
2. The fan does not come on. Is off all the time.
Maybe there is to be checked for gas pressure/quantity and the pressure valve is to blame, don't know.
Because of this i was looking for installation booklet/manual. But the a/c blows cold at the moment but...

I am kind of lost.

it's a Diavia unit. I have the install manual but it's too large to post here. I can email it... or maybe someone on here can host the pdf.

Winston, thank you,
I was thinking the same, it is a Diavia kit.
The Elite is thicker at the air grilles than this? And is oem fitted to NAS and 50 anniversary models right?

Thank you again,
