97 D90 check engine light - on now off?

Started it up after the little snow storm here in Boston and noticed about a cup of water came out of the tailpipe (wind must have blown the snow into the tailpipe) and the "check engine" light came on. Ran and drove fine. Drove it for last 3 days without a problem and yesterday the light went off. Should I be concerned? Can I still pull the fault code/codes?

Thanks,
Eric

If no light I don't think there would be a fault sode but I am not 100% on the 97's with the OBD2. I bet it had something to do with the weather.

It read a an error, and was cleared by the GEMS system after several cycles without the code. You can read the code with an ODB2 and it will tell you what initially tripped the light.

It may be the O2 sensor. Code should tell you.
