97 D-90 SW A/C drier help

I'm the original owner of a 97 D-90 LE SW with factory A/C. I know my vehicle has not been modified. A leaking A/C line (had it repaired as OEM replacements are pretty much non-existant) and extended storage forced the purchase of a new receiver drier. None of the discount stores could find a match so $100 later I picked up a Gunuine Land Rover drier from a local Rover specialist in Salt Lake City. The threads from the trinary switch are course and will not screw into the side of the drier. Another 97 D-90 SW in the shop had an in-line adapter-like pipe on the bulkhead side of the drier that the trinary switch was screwed into, eliminating the need to mount the switch to the drier. A call to my local LR dealer identified a change to the trinary switch at some point to part # 8510066, conveniently priced at $353 and no longer available but no indication of an in-line adapter the switch could mount to. My questions to all you experts are: 1) Is there a direct fit drier available that the course thread trinary switch will screw into; 2) Is the in-line adapter on the other 90 I saw a Land Rover part or something fabiricated (if so, does anyone have one?); 3) Does anyone know of a trinary switch that will work with the drier Land Rover sent me?

Thanks in advance,
