'97 Auto Box shift bezel

Rovers North has a shift bezel for the Range Rover (BTR9924LNF) for 60 bucks. The D90 Part is BTR9926LNF and it's 130 bucks. Has anyone substituted the Rangy unit for the D90 unit? Lokking at the pictures, they look the same to me. (The film on mine is shot)

Thanks, Dennis

I looked into the same question and found a reference on a Australian Rover board that indicated that the two parts were ostensibly the same-- the only difference between the RRC/Disco bezel and the D90 was the font of the shift letters. I went ahead and placed the order with RN.

I found the same comment too, so I ordered one myself. I did put a note on the RN order asking them to insure that the item matches the picture.

Follow-up from Rovers North:

Thank you for the order. The BTR9924LNF and BTR9926LNF are exactly the same, except one of them has built-in "spacers" on the bottom where it mounts (less than a quarter inch). Either one will work for your application. We will ship the one you ordered out today via UPS.

HTH, Dennis

UPDATE The BTR9924LNF fits perfectly !! It does have 3/8" plastic "risers/spacers" on the bottom of the screw mounts. These plastic risers can easily be removed with a hack saw. This modification makes the item identical to the BTR9926LNF.
