97 AT Trans Cooler Capacity

Does anyone here know how many BTU's the stock 97 AT Trans Cooler is rated at? I am looking to replace mine with a B&M, but I dont want to get one that is rated at 14,000 btu if the factory rated one was designed for say 9,000.

On that note, if a new cooler is more efficient and cools the trans fluid to a lower temp than the stck one, are there any negative ramifications?

Thanks in advance,

DMAX

No negative effects to a large cooler. The stock one is to small really. Other LR applications use a larger one in place of the D90 one.

97 autos have a cooler and the 1993 110 5 speed has a cooler.
The 94 and 95 NAS D90s do not.

Not as important in a 5 speed as it is in the automatic.

Mike, Since I'm waiting to get into your shop, can you hook me up with a replacement cooler and lines? (Not for free of course, just ones that you would put on if my truck was actually at your shop!)

Matt

PS - was my "track changes" work list document thorough enough?
