97 4.0L viscous coupling removal

Has anybody done it? RN says that it unscrews counter clockwise and is not reverse threaded. Any help????
Once again, 1997 4.0 Litre motor....Thanks

Sounds right as the 4.0 serp belt water pump turns the opposite way of the 3.9 V-belts.

Great, I have been pulling as if it was reverse threaded. I'll give it a try this weekend. I hope by then my knuckle skin will have grown back.

Got it.......thanks. What a PITA! The electric fans went in very easy. One more question......if you don't use the 3 way switch, do you need to tap into the A/C compressor wiring??? Thanks.......
