Yup, you hit the plenum hose jackpot. Can't get it now.

Very odd, I checked a couple weeks ago and it was NLA from Land Rover. Perhaps a dealer still had one laying around.

The price went from $73.41 to $87.97 plus $11 shipping.
Weird. Yet somehow now their price is $61.46 on landroverpartscheap...maybe because they know they can't fulfill it?

If your NAS is still running the original plenum air hose, best to purchase your replacement now before it develops a leak. It failed on the PO of my D at 40k miles and he spent thousands troubleshooting the problem (it lost power at 3,400 rpm). It is well documented on these threads. Stock up with one, but no hoarding.

Exactly, but if you read back a bit you'll see that they are NLA.

I tried to order from them a couple of weeks ago and they were all out. Finally found one through safarihp (their last one).

Understood but they continue to become available from time to time.

You watch, Mr. Peters will dig deeper and find another one for sale in a few months. Just like the NLA ST HD mats.

Great idea Neil. (I happen to have one of those lying around.) How much modification did it take to make it fit?

I had this conversation with Jimmiejamz last weekend. He works @ LR Richmond and said there is a new dealer part that is a rubber hose.

No mod at all, just install the longer hose.

At the moment it is back ordered with no manufacturer ETA. They have come off of backorder before, so hopefully they'll make more, but for the time being the are NLA through Land Rover.

FWIW, the one he got probably went up in price because they bought it from another dealer (last one in the country) and had to pay wholesale + Shipping rather than ordering it at cost and free shipping from JLR. He probably got the one at Carlsbad or wherever the other one was...that or they Overnighted it in order to get one. Sometime if something is on backorder, the only way to guarantee you get one when they come off is to overnight it and pay shipping.

I need one, but I'm not in a hurry, so if I find a source, I'll post it up. I was thinking though, you can buy silicon hose on ebay pretty cheap, you could probably just get some of that and make it work (the stuff they use for intercoolers etc.)

backordered, or obsolete? I'm seeing obsolete/removed from service.

Is the hose a long or short one? My airflow meter is at the back of the engine so the hose is quite long. I know some are mounted off to the side and have a shorter hose. The shorter hose ESR1611L is about $36 plus shipping from the UK. If it's the longer hose you could try E2025 Emmission Duct TVR, KnN also do a hose and filter kit that looks about right. Finally you could try a kit car parts company as they do hose reducers you could make up a custom hose.... Hope this helps...

That ESR1611L looks like it has the right ends but is only about 1/5th the required length ... but should the hose become unavailable ... buying that and cutting the ends off and mounting them on some other hose may be a viable workaround.

I've got a few days off the week starting the 24th. I can pop down to my local independent LR parts dealer and see if the long hose is still available in the UK if anyone needs me to... John
