Which cable broke(upper/lower)? Check both why you are at it. Make sure the transducer is not funky and is rotating freely also check that the speedo drive gear on the side of the t-box is in good working order. When you route the new cable make sure you stay away from the driver's side cat and you don't put any tight angles in it. I've seen one's from the factory routed in really bad ways before so following the old cable's route is not always the best option. Good luck!
Thanks! It's the upper. It works occasionally even the way it is so I'm hopeful just the upper needs replacement. I assume this goes through the bulkhead? Where is the transducer best accessed from?
ini88 - Looks like some chafing or heat damage on the outer cover in your pic. If you can you do a little better on price I'd consider it over a new one.

$50? it runs smooth still. you can just slide the heat shield over that part. ill inspect it again tonight to make sure its all good and the outer casing is fine.
