Just changed my water pump on D90 yesterday and I put it all back together. Started up the truck and now I have a wobbling pulley from my power steering. Everything was tightened and the truck was running perfectly fine before. Thinking the pulley is bent so I called everywhere but the pulley is out of stock and no longer made.

Get a used one from a v belt Discovery. They are the same and there should be a lot of them around. Check with the rover breakers.

Did you not notice the wobble before? I'm assuming that pulley wasn't removed. Check for play in the PS pump shaft itself. It could be the cause of the wobble. Just grab it and to check for any excess movement (you might need to remove the V-belt first). I didn't see a spare V-belt pulley in the garage. The shed holds a load of bits but digging into it is a nightmare. I'll let you know if I find one though.

Everything was working perfectly fine until I removed and reinstalled the pulley. After I got done with the water pump install, the motor was started right after and it was running good that night. My problem happened the next day and that's when the wobble started. I started D90 and the power steering shaft spun smoothly. It is the pulley that wobbles. Thanks for the advice.

My Classic has a spacer between the pulley and studs. Any chance you forgot to install it assuming your truck uses one?

Changed the power steering pulley and everything is running good now. The old pulley was starting to separate and that's why the wobble started. Thanks for all the pointers.
