93 defender 110 200tdi turbo identification help

hi guys i am a little stuck! i need to buy a rebuild kit for the turbo on my 93 defender 110 it has the 200tdi engine but the turbo is missing the ID tag, i have tried typing various things into eBay to quickly give me a Garrett rebuild kit number but it keeps coming up with 300tdi rebuild kits and to suit 94 model onward? which has me a little concerned that maybe the internals of mine are different being pre 94 in some way and dont want to buy the wrong kit! the turbo is the original Garrett with M27 A/R 48 cast into the side. anyone that could help me with the correct rebuild kit number would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks rocky but that still doesn't answer the original question, don't really need details on rebuilding it just trying to minimize down time by knowing which is the correct rebuild kit before I go and pull the turbo off and making the defender unusable whilst I wait for parts to arrive only to find I've ordered the wrong kit etc

Have you tried contacting a supplier direct? If I were in your situation I would not trust ebay to get it right. If downtime was not an issue maybe. Is the savings significant v. buying a quality/warranted product to replace and rebuild the old for resell once you are back on your feet again?

the land rover dealer where i am isn't very helpful nor interested with that sort of inquiry, yeah ebay can be hit and miss at times but i was hoping for multiple listings with the same part number to deter any doubts it was the correct one, i hear what your saying buy a new unit and refurbish the old one to on sell once i can confirm some part number but defenders in general arent that popular where i live and i think i would no doubt get stuck with it.

i thought surely someone on here would have a 93 defender 200tdi that could tell me the number on there turbo tag atleast?
