SW because of the rear door and cage.

Wouldn't you be able to sell the ST cage for more capital?

I think its such an expensive proposition that its a wash one way or the other. You'll be able sell the SW or ST parts to recoup some $$.

I disagree.

Jim. Why do you think it would be so expensive? I want a 110 built from the ground up. Converting one from a 90 would be much better than buying an over priced NAS 110 ( which I've had already and sold it a few months ago).

I dont think it will be outrageosly expensive, hell, I plan on doing it myself as soon as I have the time. I just dont think that the rear door will be much of a margin of savings compared to the overall cost.

The wiring harness from a SW would be more applicable (already has rear wiper, washer, heater circuits etc) so there could be an advantage from that standpoint.

I'm just having trouble thinking of a definitive reason why at SW would be a clearly superior donor than a ST.

SW would have one piece front doors, the SW cage, the back door, the rear wiring and should give up a roof panel & rear side panels to sell. The rear sliding windows & alpine windows may be reusable as well. I'd vote SW.

The front doors, true. Of course the SW cage would be only sort-of useable since it would be only the frontal NAS style and the interior hoop would not be compatible.

I have been convinced though, SW would be better. Plus your title wont say "convertible" on the body style...

The part of the cage that matters is the exterior part on the SW. Unless you can find POE brackets you are SOL. Likewise, the POE liftgate is $$$$. I am assuming the poster would run an exterior only cage and sell the rest of the stuff. ergo SW is slightly better.

Building a 110 from the ground up is a fool's errand. Convert something, preferably an NAS D90.

Thanks guys for the great feedback. This is exactly what I was looking for.
Ron. I used the wrong words (ground up). I definetly want to convert an NAS 90 and now I know that it will be an SW.
