90 rear mudflaps on a 110 ...

Ok ... I need by law (Stupid provincial law ) to put mud flaps on my 110 cause of the lift. So my problem is that my exhaust doesn't quite allow the for the 110 brackets and I don't like having them attached to the rear quarter panel ready to bend it.

Sooooo, I figured since I am making myself a rear bumper / tire carrier (Kaymar style) I would fit them 90 style

Just looking for general concern and thoughts here . How "bad" would that be ???
