Interesting. I'm actually considering the reverse route. Old lady in the neighborhood had a low mileage '94 Accord and the kids just took the keys away.

My mechanic says if I'm willing to drop the transfer case and front axle, he can rig the engine to run RWD. Much better for commuting. Might even crack 18 mpg.

If its wrong I don't want to be right. After much deliberation and help from you guys I instructed my grease monkey mechanic to order a 302 for the install. I'm also in the market for a new TDI now for "grounds work," and a cheaper, older model defender for titling.

Once again, a 427 is not a big block, it's a small block. A 460 is a big block.

Go for a Vortec 8100. There is a 90 running in Germany with this engine in. Nice truck...

Where are we meeting in Milton to grab a beer? Wonderland? Oz? Atlantis? Camelot? Fountain of Youth? El Dorado?

Well, on second thought let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place.

Just drop an Corvette LS1 into it. Might smoke the rest of the drivetrain, but it would be fun.

302 makes more sense but why not just build a Bronco and use Ford 9s so much easier and would have some value after you're done
