swap

Barry,
Just did the 4.6 swap into the 94. I purchased a used engine out of a 03 DII with less than 30K miles on it for $2,200. Premier Rover here in San Diego did the swap including new seals, new summit racing metal timing gear etc. I am not sure of the swap labor charge as I exchanged accounting work for the swap. Anyway, love the 4.6. They are willing to put in a used motor if you bring it. They also recently put in a 4.6 from RPI that a customer ordered and they also have a rebuilt 4.0 for sale with less than 4K on it. If you want to discuss any of the above just PM me with your mobile and we can talk.
Clay

Thanks Clay
Here is what I decided to do.
I stuck with my engine for a purely economical reason. If I had known before I put a dime into it I would need this work I might have bought the rovers north short block and just built it up in my spare time but since I already had the truck in pieces I let British Car Services proceed.
Top end rebuild with all it normally includes, new crankshaft bearings, new oil seals, new fan clutch, rear ball joint assembly replaced, new power steering hoses, etc.

Once I get the truck back and get the cage back on I will post some pics. Here is one of my freshly chemically stripped basket in the meantime.
