4.6 chip upgrade check engine light

I just installed 4.6 chips into a 97 D-90 ECU . We finally got the engine running but can't clear the check engine code P1777 gearbox ignition retard request line fault . Has anyone dealt with this before ? The 90 is running great but I still want to pass State inspection .

You can't clear that code as the chip maker used the software from the P38 Range Rover (4.6) for the chip and you don't have the electronic gearbox, so you are stuck with the code.
Contact the chip manufacture, or if you just used RR 4.6 chips then you can't clear it (well you can clear it, but it will come back).

That's what I thought . I was hoping that maybe just 4.6 one chip could be installed and keep a 4.0 chip connected so as to avoid this fault code . I'm going to try the 90 at high speed tomorrow to see the performance difference , if any . Any recommendation on a chip set that will solve this fault code problem .
