4.2 ecu

Is there anything to gain by dropping a 4.2 ECU into a 3.9 truck?
Truck is a '95 D1 serp belt. ECU is from a '93 RRC.

Slight gain from remapping...everything else has to be in good order to realize the small benefit...If you end up wanting to sell it let me know!

I have a spare 4.2 ECU from a 1995 RRC if you need one. It's in storage but could probably get to it by the end of the month. PM me for price/details.

Ok, so follow up question(s).
What would need to be done to see some benefits utilizing the 4.2 ECU?
My truck is under the knife so lots of options are on the table. I have a 4.6 camshaft I could toss in.
What about 4.6 crankshaft and connecting rods?
I've heard of people using the above with both 4.0 pistons and 4.6 pistons. What's the better option?
