4.0/4.6L Oil Cooler Line Time Cover Adapter

I'm about to upgrade my oil cooler lines and found that there are only a couple of companies out there that make a kit for the 4.0/4.6L engines. These motors do not have a sandwich adapter and need a custom setup. The inlet and outlet are cast into the timing cover.

How can you make sure that the adapter hole aligns with the timing cover opening?

On the stuck oil cooler line, the adapter hole is fixed to the hose assembly and will mate without a problem. You are not turning the hose, just a nut.

On these, the hole will turn as you tighten the adapter and can end up miss aligned and damage your pump.

Am I wrong with this? Has anyone tried these kits?

Thanks!!!

Just delete the oil cooler and be done.

Funny thing... you're not the first person that tells me this.

again... being paranoid... I don't like the idea... Rover motors like to run hotter than others.
