300tdi wiring harness??

installing a 300 tdi engine in D-90 the harness that came with it is fried.
Does anybody know where or who makes new harnesses?
Have tried RDS and some others, but have come up dry.

Thanks

Is it the engine harness or the bulkhead one?

the engine harness you can get new from autosparks.com in the UK, but I am sure there are some used ones floating around here.

But the main bulkhead harness you will be very pushed to find an early one that is not fried, I have got four that all had the main 12v power (white wire) burned which burns the ones touching it the loom.

Thanks,
I think I will be needing both by the end of the day.
The D-90 is a 94 and the engine is a early 90 (best guess)
Will check out the link
Thanks again

As far as I know Autosparks doesn't have any engine harnesses for anything past the 200tdi.

Assume you had a V8 and unplugged the whole 9 yards from the main loom complete with ECU.
Please confirm.

We can get new ones:

AMR3483 - Engine harness 300tdi
AMRXXXX - I need to find the number for the 90 (all i have is the 110/130 numbers on hand)

Engine/Main harness is a little pricy, the rear/chassis harness isn't.

I may have a used one floating around the shop somewhere, not sure on the condition though.

If you just need an engine harness for a 300 Tdi you can make one easy as the motor doesn't require very much. You will need a switched power for the injection pump, Oil pressure sending unit, water temperature, alternator and starter. You can get everything but the switched power from your existing harness. If your are planning on running your glow plugs then you will need to add that too.
Did you try Safari Heritage parts for a harness?

ok,
removed original engine and lighting harnesses from the engine compartment. This includes the lighting, horn and extra driving and fog lighting on the bumper.
removed cpu, the plug and it's harness is still in place.

On a ROW truck the wing lighting harnesses are separate and connect at a plug on the engine side bulkhead firewall. You can get a wiring diagram for the NAS stuff and trace the wiring colors at the firewall plugs. You will have a bunch of extra stuff that the V-8 required that a diesel doesn't.

Run the wire that controlled your coil to the fuel solenoid, use the existing coolant temp, oil pressure light and alternator wires. Like it was said, all you really need to do is add the glow plug relay (which has its own harness).

Why make more work for yourself?
