300Tdi VDO Help

I'm planning on adding an oil pressure gauge and boost gauge to my 300Tdi and want to be sure I order everything i need the first time.
0-80PSI Gauge 350-104
Sender 360-006 w/ M10x1K thread
30 PSI Boost Gauge 150-104
Adapter: M12 X 1.5 X 1/8 NPT

Is the thread correct and do I need a spacer?
I have read two different things regarding the thread and pitch.
Lastly which tubing for the boost gauge did you have success with?

Thanks all!

Dave, I used to have a 0-30 boost gauge too, but replaced it with a 0 to 20. You'll never push 30 even if you greatly modify things.

With a lower & more accurate (sensitive) gauge you will need to insert a 1" piece of a #6 screw to keep the needle from bouncing from the engine pulses of the pressure.

So a 15 PSI gauge? VDO come 0-15 or 0-30. I don't plan on pushing the motor, I just want to know what's going on.

Well 1 bar of pressure is 14.8 psi, that's why I went with Westach they make a 20 psi and looks very similar to VDO.
Westach is aircraft quality stuff, they're main customers.
They had to build mine, but it's a regular item for them, not custom.

Just did my latest opacity test here on the dyno, 0.2% and we're allowed 40%

I'm trying to stay all VDO. With that said I'm thinking 15 PSI should be fine (since I'm not going to crank up my motor settings) but I'm hoping somebody with a VDO gauge setup will chime in.
Also can anybody assist with my oil pressure sender questions?

Dave,

Have vdo in both rrc and d90! A pillar on classic and raptor console in defender. 15 psi in both!
Look and work great!

Dave,

Here are a few pic that might help you.

The VDO oil pressure sender that I used was 1/8 NPT. You also need a nipple and tee so you can retain your oil pressure light switch.

Rerouted boost pressure hoses to the manifold. Wastegate, FIP, and boost gauge. The plumbing bits looks a bit naff, but works, I may fashion a suitable manifold.
For the connection to the manifold I drilled and tapped 1/8" NPT the existing plug (there is just enough meat) as the one I received from MadMad did not fit.

You will need Loctite thread sealant.

I have a 15 psi VDO Cockpit, but boost with the VNT spikes at 17.
With a gauge this sensitive you will get needle flutter that can be fixed with the screw as mentioned or an orifice (snubber)

Question from me to the Community - I cannot find a supplier of a cobra head silicone elbow 1 3/4 ID. There is not much clearance to the inner wing on my VNT set-up. The cobra heads are intended for tight radii while optimizing flow.
