300TDI Synthetic or Dino Oil?

I have a pretty new 300tdi. It currently has about 11,800 kilometers on it. Time for oil change #2. Should I switch to synthetic?

I did search and found nothing with 300 tdi and synthetic.

not necesary imo, change your oil frequently and adjust your valves clearance every 10,000 km.

My understanding is dino oil is important for the first 1,500-2000 miles to allow the rings to seat, ie wear.

After that I believe that synthetic is likely best.

These motors are old tech and in my eyes do not need the synthetic oil. The new Cummings in the Dodge recommends dino oil and it has a particulate filter unlike the 3.0L MB diesel which requires a very expensive ESP formula synthetic. It cost me over $100.00, oil and filter, to change the oil in the Jeep CRD (MB 3.0L Motor) I use a high grade diesel oil that helps clean the soot in the 300 Tdi. I just change the oil about every 6,000 miles or yearly.
If older diesels use the sulfur in the diesel fuel to help lubricate what is going to happen when you use the Ultra low sulfur diesel fuel all of the time?
