300Tdi Stainless Exhaust

Hi All - my exhaust has given up the ghost and I'm trying to source a new stainless exhaust (95 NAS D-90 w/ 300Tdi).

I've read through the forums and the Borla seems the most recommended. But that doesn't come with a down-pipe and I've only found it for the gas engine. So here's what I found. Can you tell me if these two will work together?

I'd happily look at another system I can easily source in the US.

Thanking you!

dont use an exhaust meant for a gasoline engine. Tdi's don't need much of an exhaust to quiet things down as the turbo vanes already do that. I run a straight pipe on my 130 and it isn't loud.

Good judgement comes from experience, experience comes from bad judgement.

You can also get a cheap diesel muffler that wont restrict flow much. I used that on my series 1 with a 200tdi and it quieted it a bit compared to a straight pipe. It takes a bit of the pop out of the exhaust.

Either way just go to an exaust shop and have them build you one.... but stand there and advise them on how you want it routed and clearance issues.
