300tdi silencer exhaust mounts/hangers

Hi folks.

As you may know, I'm in the process of restoring/refreshing a ROW 110 which originally came with a 2.5TD motor/LT77 setup. I've since swapped out a 300TDI and R380 (installed the proper way in the correct position) and I'm getting around to hooking up and fabricating exhaust hangers.

I've got everything done up except the front hanger of the silencer/midpipe. From this diagram, it doesn't SEEM to show a hanger being used, but the steel flange is certainly there to receive one. In essence, it floats in air near the transmission brake.

Parts diagram:

I've seen one indication online of someone fabricating and mounting a bracket to the PTO location on the transfer case, but that seems like it'd be likely to just shear off:

Does anyone have any reference pictures of how this is supposed to be properly done, or is my suspicion correct that there actually is no hanger there, since the downpipe hanger is probably 2-2.5' forward of this mount.

Thanks in advance!

On my 90 at that location with 300tdi exhaust there is a bracket welded to the frame that the hanger bolts to.

Any chance you have a better picture of that bracket that's welded? From my glance, it would have to be a BIG bracket and could interfere with the removal of the transfer case?

My solution, fabbed from 16ga steel (a bit thin) but gussetted to add a bit of strength. Thanks for all of the help, folks! Now to clean up the frame and weld this bad boy in.
