300TDI serpentine belt tensioner bearing R&R

Has anyone replaced the bearing in their serpentine belt tensioner on a 300tdi ? Looking at the "nut" on the front, there are arrows indicating counter clockwise, but this is also the direction to turn it to remove tension on the belt for removal. I put quite-a-bit of pressure on it in both directions, but stopped as to not break something. Any experience out there?

The nut that holds it to the front cover is normal thread. The bolt that holds the bearing to the arm is backwards thread. I would break the bolt loose first. Then take off the nut to get the arm off if you deem necessary.

Thanks Jim, that did the trick. Took longer to get the snap ring out than anything else.

FYI, Napa Part # for the bearing is 6203-2RSJ

I buy a sealed bearing and pull off the seals add extra grease, before assembly. Both sides, seems to add life.
