300tdi radiator help

Hey all,
I just heard from the radiator shop and mine is toast. They want 475 for a recore. That seems a bit pricy. I neglected to ask if they would add a core for that price but I'll ask on monday. I know this has been discussed but one more time can't hurt

Are they any good sources for a new cheeper one? RN wants 700 for LR part and 275 for proline. I'm leaning towards staying away from the proline, and 700 if a load of fufu

I read on another post that Buck wrote stating that Napa did his for 400 and added a core.. anyone else try them? Anymore input Buck?

Is there anyone making bigger rad here in the states that is ready to go? I was having some cooling issues before a hole was punched in it but if the core is rotten that explains it... but bigger is always better right?

What a PITA, I need a working vehicle soon, my drive way is looking like a slavage yard with the POS 240d puking oil and a defender spewing coolant. It seems that even with two cars if one goes the other one follows... I think they are collaborating against me

He is Rovering this weekend, but he should be back beginning of next week. I have one of his and I had no problems this summer in AZ with the A/C on the whole time.
