300Tdi oil pressure spec?

Trying to determine what range of oil pressure readings are 'normal' for one of these things. Searching has proven to be no help. Anyone know the spec?

Spec, no, but it looks like about 20psi per 1000 rpms from just looking at the gauge.

300 Tdi Oil Pressure

Observed through Gauge and checked (warm) at the engine seems to be 22-23 psi at idle and 42-45 in average operating range. I do have the Tdi engine book as reference but not w/ me at work.

Are you just checking for ballpark assurance or are you contemplating a tear down?

To recap, my oil dummy lamp in the cluster was taking a little longer to go out at startup than I liked. I was planning on going with a real guage soon anyhow, so I went ahead with a nice electric one and confirmed no problem with the engine. Once the new pressure switch gets here I will buy a fitting so I can install it along with the sending unit for the guage. (I would still like to have a dummy light)
