I have had no trouble starting tdi's where the a/c was left on when the engine was shut down ?

Shoot me an email if anyone is looking for a new a/c kit for a 300 tdi. Also can sell the kit without the compressor so any 200tdi guys would just need to adapt a standard belt compressor onto the engine and then just get 2 hoses made.

I'm interested in a complete kit for a 300. Can you give me a total with shipping to 78028.

Thanks

AC kit

Hi folks, new to the forum and relatively new to land rovers..
Anybody try this kit on a TD5?

Any idea how this kit affects the normal heat ducts?
Is there room for the speakers to go back in?

Does the Nostalgic Air under dash unit for the Chevy interfere with the heater vents?

Yes. The passenger side will be completely covered up, the driver side will not. Given the limited output of those heater vents you can just redirect to windshield though.

Hi Piekas,
I'm trying to put your kit together and looking at the Nostalgic Air website. Can you point me in the right direction on a couple pieces on your list? Some names have changed.
Which item on the site (item #?) are the - RELAY AND MOUNT / ADJUSTABLE THERMOSTAT CONTROL UNIT / INLINE SWITCH PORT FEMALE / 14 x 20 ALUMINUM CONDENSER WITH DRIER MOUNTED (is this the Superflow model?)

Looks like parts over the years have gone up about 25% at Nostalgic Air

Anyone have a reasonable source for the AC Pulley part 614718? or ETC8853?

Anyone else done this setup yet? any advice?
I dont have my Defender yet, but its on its way to me! Gotta get ready for the heat.

Thanks

There are multiple options for each item you ask about...you could go:

Relay and mount

Nostalgic AC - Relay Mount for 30 & 40 Amp Relays

Fan thermostat…you could use either of:

Nostalgic AC - Adjustable Thermostat Control Unit - Relays & Thermostats - Radiator and Condenser Fans

Nostalgic AC - Adjustable Fan Thermostat Relay and Harness - Relays & Thermostats - Radiator and Condenser Fans

Inline switch port:

Nostalgic AC - Binary High Low Safety Switch Female Threads - AC Pressure Switch - Oil, System Flush & Switches

Condenser:

Nostalgic AC - 14 X 20 Superflow Condenser With Drier Mounted

Good luck...
