300td: Does the air cleaner to turbo hose mount somewhere?

Can any of you 300tdi guys tell me if the air cleaner to turbo hose (the one that wraps around behind the engine) attaches somewhere behind the engine? It seems like it should have some kind of support, like around the rear engine lift point, but I don't know for sure or not. Can anyone confirm what happens back there on a 300tdi?

Thanks!
Pete

Not that I've ever seen. The hose is quite rigid.

I'm pretty sure there is no mid support. The thing is so darn stiff, may just a little pre-load on it's position then clamp 'er down. Also the little thingee's that the air box mounts on, rubber shocks, get some extras cause vibration does kill them.

OK Fine !!! I'll put on my slippers, brave the AZ cold, and go check ....... nope. The only mid point thing is the inlet for the hose to the oil cyclone and the swivel adjustment clamp.

I've never seen something, but just wanted to be sure. I couldn't find any pics of the hose on an engine that would detail that area, so thanks for the info!
Thanks!

no mid support, that's probably why the hose has so many nerves.
