It would be great to have a sedimenter with an integrated electric pump

I finally found a small cylindrical 12 v pump that will fit perfect close to the tank.
1) Should I install it before or after the sedimentor ?
2) In order to have the right fittings at hand before I start cutting,
the factory Tdi fuel lines are 5/16" inside diameter, right ?

Thank you folks

Cheers
