300 tdi conversion

I really tried to search this and other sites befor I asked this question, so I am sorry if it was right in frot of my face and I didnt see it. What does it take to convert a NAS 1995 v-8 d-90 to a 300 tdi? Details, like can I use the same transfer case, fuel lines, gas tank, anything need to be cut other than moter mounts, do you need to wire the engine, etc. Thanks.
Byron

Follow-up Post:

by the way I am looking for info on a minimal conversion NOT ground up. Want to keep the same frame and everything else that i poss. can.

300tdi engine with accessaries
300tdi transmission etc.
exhaust.
crossmember
radiator
innercooler
few gauges
you could reuse your fuel lines but you need to remove the in tank fuel pump and rearrange the internals.
different fuel filter(s) these would require fuel line mods.
different fuel filler neck and gas cap.

You can keep you transfercase.

Drivelines are a little different

engine mounts have to be cut off and new ones welded in place.

I think that covers most of it but I am sure I missed some details.

Labor from a shop is usually around $3000.
part range from $7000- $15,000

why the transmission? different gears, or length of shaft I would presume. are the mounts of the transmission different? Drive shafts the same? Cross member for the transmission? What guages? What about electrics? How do you wire in the new 300tdi?

Call RoversNorth and ask for Les. Ask him to send you the part list from the old kit they used to sell. 300TDI conversion. You'll know exactly what you'll need.
