3 conductor wire

While sorting out the wiring put in my NAS 94 D90 by the PO, I ran across some 3-conductor wire. It is bundled into the other wires under split-plastic tubing, so hard to trace. My question: is 3-conductor wiring factory installed? (see pic below)

Green, white and black. Continuity test doesn't give a positive response.
I found similar wire that powered a rear heater. This particular wire runs into a wiring loom that goes down the bulkhead and into a hole in the frame.

That is an extension cord... Not a cheap one, but an extension cord none the less.

Yes, the outer insulation is pretty much molded around the wiring. Yes, must be an extension cord.
