200TDI Injectors and Pump

Hey Guys,
What is the deal with the 200tdi injectors?
Are they dual stage injectors?

I am looking to have mine rebuilt and based on research they have an intermediary pressure as well as a pop pressure.

I have talked to some diesel shops and they say they can only set the pop pressure and cant set the intermediary pressure.

Has anyone found anyone that can set both pressures?
Is it even important?

I know some Volkswagens had dual stage injectors (not really helpful info)

the bosh nozzles are BOSCH 0 433 175 017

Also if anyone has info on what a rebuild of the VE Injection pump costs that would also be helpful.

Yes, they are dual stage injectors. Most shops can only set the main pressure. The only places I know of in the USA that have the dual stage equipment are the places that do the setup for VW injectors.

This brings up a good point. has anyone upgraded to larger injector nozzles on 200Tdi injectors. Looks like that VW site has a good breakdown of the available sizes, but not sure if they cross to the Tdi injectors.

Blue Ridge Diesel in Salem, VA does a good job rebuilding the IP.

was recommended a place in Mass Metro Fuel Injection

Services – Metro Fuel Injection

recommended by Rover Resource ( he has had them rebuild 10-15 pumps)

talked to the guys on the phone and finally someone who knows what they are talking about.
he said they can set both spring pressures as well.

I will find out more
I have a spare discovery pump Bosch #0 460 414 069 that i want to have rebuilt to specs for a defender pump Bosch #0 460 414 080 they said this should not be a problem as long as they have the Bosch Part numbers to build it to. The pumps are the same with slightly different timing.

Did they give you a quote? I'd like to talk to them about building a rover spec pump except with a large plunger (12mm) to deliver more fuel. Also curious about better injector nozzles
