200 tdi cylinder head?

Anyone know where I can find a new or good used 200 tdi cylinder head? Anyone have one they don't need?

I think you can use a 300 head if you don't have any luck with the 200.

I have a spare 300 tdi head - this is first I'd heard about possible interchangeablity. I've tried RN, RDS, Turner, Rimmer. Still waiting for Paddocks to respond.

Check with Land Rover Salvage UK, I know Turners has trouble getting heads now and requires you to send yours to them for rebuilds so an alternative option would be very good since I decided to standardize on 200TDI powerplants

Thanks I continue to send queries and I'll try them also. If I wasn't trying to mate up to a series III transmission, this 200 tdi would be boat anchor - 300 tdi is so much easier to work on and parts are available and cheaper.

Would you not be happier just sourcing a 300TDI and R380 together then? I picked up an R380 for the 200TDI but those are few and far between.

I was trying to keep my lightweight semi original. If I put a 380 in it, I end up changing everything.

I'll pull the head Thurs after I do a compression test. Then I can compare the two side by side.

I did some searching on the LR UK forums and their opinion is the 300tdi head will not work with the 200 tdi engine. I'm still going to check the heads next to each other, but I guess I'll keep looking for a 200 tdi cylinder head.
