200 tdi air filter

is there an aftermarket ait filter for this motor that will work better than the stock one or is it better just to stick with genuine? How long are these filters good for, should you change them with each oil change or do they last longer?

Thanks, Jason

don't know if it fits your needs or set-up, but check out the 300 tdi air box thread and see if the one dan references is what you're looking for.

The main function of the air filter box is to reduce intake noise. If you don't mind another voice in the choir you can use just a regular old K&N universal fit type.

Filter life is dependent on the amount of dirt that the engine breathes not a fixed time period.

The 200TDI filters are not the same as the 300TDI. They cross reference to a lot of common industrial machinery and can be purchased at any industrial supply store.

I would avoid the K&N style as they have been tested to have much worse filtration efficiency.
