Unhappy 2.8 HS diesel service manual

I don't know why International's website was completely changed, but all references to the 2.8 are gone from what I can see. Does anyone have the PDF service manual that was available on their website before it was changed? ( I should have downloaded it when I had the chance...)

Wow, you are right, their website doesn't even mention the HS2.8L at all, or the 2.5 either.

I have the manual. How does $100 sound?

Just kidding. Where do you me to email it?

Unhappy

The 2.8 is going out of production, that's why you don't see any listing.

YIKES!! Going out of production? Does that mean my dream is over before it gets started??

So... what's the replacement candy going to be for us now? The Ford 2.4 in the new Defender?

Mark: You should have the whole thing in your mailbox by tomorrow, the latest.

Everyone: Lets get a consortium together and buy the assembly line. When does the bidding start?

Is the actual engine going out of production, or is it that International will not be making it?

My understanding is the assembly line is just about done producing them. Spare parts support will last 10 years, then that is that.

Cummins is coming out with v-6 v-8 smallish engines for sale soon. Anyone want to pony up some R&R funds and be the first?

Oh and I've been dabbling with the MWM sprint motor in area 51.

Could it be with the 300TDI being discontinued, that production of that block is now going to be too small to continue? It's too bad, it was such a perfect fit for a D90.

I'm still wondering what the possibillities would be fro the new Defender diesel.

Thought it was the Ford transit's engine.

Sorry to sound uninformed here, but is LR still making the TD5? I hear everyone talking about the 300tdi and 2.8 but rarely about the td5. Is it a bad engine or something? HP looks good, torque looks good, i'm guessing there is a drawback i don't know about?

I'm not sure about current production of the TD5 but it's significantly more complex (electronic gizmo-stuff) than the 200TDi, 300TDi and 2.8.
