2.5td to V8 conversion

I have a 1987 Defender 90 2.5td RHD I bought when I lived in the UK. Now I live in good old Nebraska and for various reasons, would like to swap over to a 350 Chevy V8. I've looked through these threads until my eyes have bled and can't seem to find the info I am looking for. I'm trying to find someone who has done one or someone that can point me in the direction of how to pull this off. I'm basically looking for information on what all I am going to need(besides the engine of course) to prepare for this such as tranny, engine mounts and so forth. Any and all input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Dan, I don't have all the specifics, but I do have a Marks Adaptor from Oz to go from SBC to ZF auto- took it oiut of a truck to go back to a Rover V8. PM if interested...
