Look for my thread "Help! Broken dipstick on road" from earlier this week. (How do I post a link to another thread?) Pictures of using rubber hose and clamps to get it back on the road.
My wife bought a replacement dipstick tube from www.rdsparts.com
for $14.00. (She just happened to be in the area.)
After owning more than a dozen cars & trucks and driving probably 1.5 million miles I'd never before broken a dipstick tube. But it happens to someone else with the same engine a few days later. Is this a regular problem on the 2.5D?
