You need to really have a self bleeding fuel system to be sure there is no air trapped causing the engine to miss.
The order is sedimenter, 12V fuel pump (comes on when the key is on), lift pump, fuel filter, IP, return line straight back to the tank.
Once you rule out a fuel system problem, then you can move on to injectors and other things.
Also a compression reading will tell you a lot.
