1997 NAS defender shift knob

Where can I still buy a new shift knob? The dealer no longer has them available and a few years ago my puppy tried to use mine as a chew toy. There are some annoying marks on mine and I would love to replace it with a new one. I am looking for the stock automatic knob, nothing aftermarket.

You still go to the dealer for replacement parts?

I do, since I have a commercial account with my local dealer and get 30% of the list price. The problem is that they are not available to provide half the parts I have been requesting. I will call you referral and try to order the part today. Thanks again.

Actually they are different. Disco uses a side trigger and Classic uses a finger plate out front to pull the center/lock rod up in the shifter. They won't interchange.

I've got a great wooden one that fit my '95 if you're interested. Free + shipping.

Peter,
Thanks for the generous offer, but I was looking to replace mine with the stock shifter and was luck enough to order it earlier today.
