1997 D90 AutoTrans Problems
I recently purchased a 1997 D90. The vehicle had not been maintained well by the previous owner. The vehicle has 126K on it and a 99 Disco 4.0 engine was installed in it at 65K. I am working out many of the bugs in the drivetrain but have run into 3 problems.
The first is minor, the check engine light is on and the code reader said it is the "Bank 1 Sensor 2 Oxygen Sensor". I am guessing this means the driver side sensor downstream of the catalytic converter. Does that sound right to anyone?
My second problem I have is that the engine idles high (between 1,500 and 2,000) could this be attributed to the oxygen sensor is there something else I should be anticipating changing?
My third and biggest problem is that the automatic does not want to shift into any gears above 2nd. First and second shift fine and reverse works just fine. I allready changed transmission fluid and it did not help. Does anyone have any ideas?
