1997 AC improvment

Anyone ever beef up the AC in a 1997? It blows super cold but man is the blower motor weak.

I know there is a lot of heat coming in from the floor boards etc.. but I can't help but think if this thing had more velocity it would be much better. You can even feel it over a foot away from the vents. It is almost useless.

Anyone ever install a beefed up blower motor or modify the duct work to improve airflow?

Installed a Diavia from a 1994 NAS in our 1983 110 and the fan really moves the air.
Are you sure the 3 speeds with yours are wired up correctly?

I am also working on a center cubby that contains heat and AC that will augment the front seat Heat and AC by providing heating and cooling for the rear of a 90 and the center and rear of a 110.

Is the intake blocked with leaves? Close the vents on the passenger side.

The fan speed switch seems to be working fine. Tonight it cooled perfectly but of course it was much cooler outside. I think the majority of it is the immense heat that comes from the seatbox and floorboards. Around town it seems to work better than the highway. Insulating the seatbox and floorboards I am sure will help.

Not sure what you mean by this. The intake for the AC is in the cab right? Only the heater intake can be blocked by leaves but not the AC right?
