1995 v. 1997 soft top install instructions

I have a recently bought 1995 ST. I've found instructions here for installing the ST for a '97 D90, but the parts described there needed to install the top don't match what I got from the PO, and I'm thinking there's a difference between the two model years or that I didn't get all the parts needed. Can someone tell me;

1. Is there a difference, and;

2. If so, where can I find good instructions for installing the '95 ST?

I've done a lot of searching using the search function here and through Google but no real success yet answering my questions.

Don't know why I'm so nutted about it just now, it's in the freakin' mid 80's today, but I'm thinking it's gonna get cold someday soon(er or later).

Thanks for any help. Vic

Post a picture of your top. I am pretty sure that the 97 and 95 tops are the same. Maybe you have an aftermarket top or better yet, a badge top.

If you have the rails it should be the same. It would only be different if you have snaps, like on a '94.

If a Badger top:
Step #1. Let it warm up in the sun.
Step #2. It doesn't really matter much after that.

It has snaps. Black. I'll post some pics soon as I can get it spread out, hopefully sort of in place over the cage and such.

If you have a 95 ST you need a top with the belt rail, not the snaps. Same for the 97. The 94s came with snaps.

Well, that's discouraging to hear. I'm shocked the PO didn't enlighten me. But I'll take a closer look at the top tomorrow to be sure. But the bars that run along the top of the door have the snap connector on them.

That's fine.

It SHOULD NOT have snaps along the sides for the bed of your truck - if it does then its for a 1994. 1995-97 are the same directions. The instructions are available if you back out of the forum to d-90.com and check those Tech sections.
