1995 RRC dome light/ puddle lights

hopefully someone can tell me how to address electrical problem. My dome lights, puddle lights, ignition ring light do not come on when a door is open. I do not have a door chime either.

The dome light does come on with the dash switch although it sometimes flickers and takes a few seconds to illuminate.

I removed all the door switches and scratched the connectors and copper areas with sand paper. I even bought new drivers door switch from AB and replaced it. There is a clicking sound when disconnecting the drivers door switch. None of the other doors create this clicking sound.

The fuses seem fine to me. I do not know how to use a meter but could borrow one.

I would appreciate any comments or suggestions. The truck is a 1995 classic swb that is new to me

Thanks

Thanks for your responses. Anyone want to school me on the multifunction unit. I saw it on electrical diagrams from rave manual but I do not see it anywhere close to the fusebox. I do not know if someone stole it from my truck.
If have one can it be cleaned to fix the problem.

Any and all responses appreciated

Yeah I am inclined to agree. Could be a bad interior fuse panel as well I suppose. The MFU is on the backside of the interior fuse panel. Not in the office to confirm this 100%, but pretty sure about the following: Although Discovery 1 (and I believe 97 D90 maybe?) also has a MFU, the part number on a 95 RRC is specific to this year and model.

Thanks for the responses. Should I be able to see the Mfu directly behind the fuse panel or do you have to remove the panel to get to it.
I wonder if I have one or not. Is it possible to rewrire things without it?

If I do have one -- any connections to clean or any place that can repair it.

If I do not have one -- any chance of getting one.

Thanks for the dialog and much needed help

You'll have to disconnect the fuse panel fastener(s) and let it hang to access the back IIRC

Thanks for the reply. Does anyone think the clicking that I hear when disconnecting the drivers side door switch connector points to the Mfu?

I guess I'll try to take the fuse panel loose and see what I can see. I just don't want to screw anything up.
